Working in Alaska isn’t like working in other parts of the United States — it’s tough. In the winter months, conditions routinely drop below zero and you often have to work around snow and ice. Springtime means snow, rain, sun, mud…you name it. And our summer season is generally lovely, but short. This means you’re always looking for gaps in the weather, and you still have to still get your work done.
Equipment Source, Inc. (ESI) has a range of top-rated earth movers, generators, and pumps available for rent at our Anchorage location that have been tried and tested in Alaska’s most challenging conditions. We carry a wide variety of equipment, including products from our own factory in Fairbanks and trusted Kubota and JCB machinery.
There are many reasons why you should source your equipment rentals from ESI in Anchorage, but for now we’re going to focus on three: trust, range and convenience.
Equipment You Can Trust
If you’re looking to rent equipment in Anchorage, who better to rent it from than an Alaskan company? ESI began when we started reconditioning heaters on the North Slope of Alaska back in 2000, and we’ve been connecting customers to the right equipment ever since. We take a lot of pride in manufacturing custom equipment locally in Fairbanks, but we know that isn’t the right answer for every customer. Sometimes, you need equipment for a specific purpose or short timeframe and it doesn’t make sense to buy your own.

This is where our rentals come in. We specialize in high-quality equipment for the oil, mining, construction, and agriculture industries and we proudly serve customers who are working all around the state. ESI is also there to help with residential projects, offering earth-moving equipment and beyond. Every product we recommend is based on the experiences our customers have in the field. This feedback loop means we only rent the most efficient and effective tools for the job.
Comprehensive Range
Our Anchorage location has a wide range that includes everything from tractors to loaders, trailers, skid steers, excavators, heaters, generators, water pumps, mowers, forklifts, industrial heaters, generators and much more. Whether it’s a commercial project or a residential one, we can match you with the right rental to make sure you get the job done right and efficiently.

Some equipment is better suited for particular jobs than others, so we’ve created a series of industry categories designed to make it easy to categorize the products you need, like:
- oil and gas
- construction
- aviation
- telecommunications
- mining
- remote logistics operations
